Three women’s salons of the Al Rayyan Municipality has been sealed for its non-compliance with health regulations.50 inspections were conducted at the beauty shop by the team last month.
Al Watan reported yesterday. Salons who violated the health regulations would be fined up to QR18,200.
The Al Rayyan Municipality has allocated 27 specialised inspectors to regularly inspect women’s salons daily. The said inspectors are tasked to monitor all the salons even during vacation and public holidays.
The salons are monitored on cleanliness, sanitation and sterlisation of salon tools and equipment and workers’ hygiene.
Meanwhile the Municipality of Al Daayen has removed 10 abandoned vehicles from Semaisme, Al Sakhama, AlUbaub areas, in addition to removing 11,939630 gallons of sewage, Al Watan reported yesterday. The administration acted upon some 256 requests for Pest Control Service and 129 requests were made for sanitation services in the areas.
The Automobile Department in coordination with Cleaning Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning has removed as many as 7,638 abandoned vehicles in different areas of the country during the campaign that was launched last year in June.
Mubarak Al Shafi, Director of General Cleanliness Department, said that the campaign was launched to get rid of abandoned vehicles because of health concerns and environmental damage to the city. He said that the Department was concentrating on general commercial streets and markets, among other important areas. Al Shafi added that the abandoned vehicles are being stored at the Al Shafi warehouse.
