The Ministry of Interior tweeted on 2 May 2023 that three men have been arrested as they were attempting to smuggle Hashish via Qatari territorial waters.

As per the announcement, The General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security seized almost 120 kilograms of Hashish from the violators.
The three individuals have been referred to the General Directorate of Drug Enforcement for legal action.
