Are you looking for a program that helps your child understand how and why our climate is changing? The program “Climate Change’’ is designed for children 7-14 years old to introduce them to the causes and effects of climate change and what people can do to slow the change and prepare for it. Each session is based on games, science activities and triggering their curiosity to make research and work on projects.

Water Safety Program at the Sharq Village & Spa

In partnership with Lifesaving Victoria and Lifesaving Association of Sri Lanka, Sharq Village and Spa will be hosting the Water Safety program for guests from August to December 2016. Children aged 4 and above with accompanying adults will learn water safety basics including these topics: be aware and be prepared, everyday lifesaver, survival strategies, rescue strategies and safe body-boarding.

‘Red / Red’ Installation - Everyday

Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art in Doha has dedicated part of its museum to a new display of work by Turkish artist Aslı Çavuşoğlu.

On show from 22nd May – 11th September 2016, the installation, entitled Red / Red, is on view in Mathaf’s Project Space, dedicated to emerging artists and curators’ experimentations with new ideas and forms of presentation.

This is the first presentation at Mathaf of Red / Red, following its production for the 14th Istanbul Biennial. The installation comprises six delicate drawings made on worn papers and 10 handmade notebooks made with two inks: Armenian red, extracted from the endangered Armenian cochineal insect, and Turkish red, now used in the national flag.

A number of educational events and initiatives will be taking place as part of this installation exhibitions.

Time: 11:00 pm - 6:00 pm, everyday, except on Fridays 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Mondays when it’s closed.
