Qatar Green Building Conference 2016 — Sunday-Tuesday

The Qatar Green Building Conference 2016 will be held under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Hind Bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation.

QGBC is proud to announce its second Annual Conference that will take place on the 13th,14th &15th November 2016. This year, the conference will address major issues and provide answers to some of the most significant challenges of environmental sustainability and promoting best practice for the built environment for Qatar, the Gulf region and beyond.

QGBC aims to support the overall health and sustainability of the environment, the people, and economic security in Qatar for generations to come, and these principles underscore the 2016 conference’s key themes.

Global Entrepreneurship Week - Qatar 2016 — Sunday-Thursday

Global Entrepreneurship Week is a global event held annually at the same time in many countries of the world, and attracts millions of people in more than 160 countries around the world. Qatar Development Bank took a part to host and organize this event with all the competent parties with the support of entrepreneurs, small and medium enterprises in the State of Qatar.

The Global Entrepreneurship Week considered as one of the most important platforms that contribute in spreading the culture of entrepreneurship globally and locally where a lot of activities and events are held in each country hosts separately. The event will seek to teach how to generate opportunities and build a sustainable business to boost Qatar's economy forward.

The Global Entrepreneurship Week will be starting on Sunday, November 13, 2016, and will continue until November 17, 2016.

  • Cyclists must use the track in an anti-clockwise direction, cycling on the inside of the track, overtaking to the left.
  • Runners and walkers use the track in a clockwise direction on the outside of the track, between the blue line and fence. No crossing of the track is permitted without the safety marshal's permission.
  • All cyclists (including small children) must wear a helmet and closed-toe shoes when using the track.
  • Anyone under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

DFI Cinema Presents 'Going to Heaven' — Saturday

Following on its successful presentation as part of our Hekayat Khaleejiyah series, the Doha Film Institute once again brings you 'Going to Heaven', a film about 11-year-old Sultan’s extraordinary journey from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah to find his grandmother. Now see this charming story as part of our Cinema Under the Stars series in the evening breeze.
