Ladies Training Days at Losail International Circuit — Tuesday

Starting from today, Losail International Circuit will be hosting Ladies Training Days.

Twice a month, the Losail track will be open only for ladies to be able to exercise in one of the largest venues in Doha with privacy as well as enjoy a variety of outdoor activities.

Bicycles and gear will be available so ladies won’t have to bring their personal cycles from home. There will be special trainers available to provide yoga lessons, a mini-bootcamp; walking, jogging and other activities, as well as a special allocated area for children.

Security: There will be an abaya and bag check-in station at the venue. CCTV will only be monitored by female staff.

*Please note only boys under 9 years of age will be allowed inside the track.*

Come and enjoy the free cycling, running and walking facilities at Losail International Circuit!

Dates: Every Wednesday

Car Park Area: Inside the Circuit next to the Paddock Restaurant Parking

Registration: Inside the Circuit in the Pit Garage 2

Rules:

Cyclists must use the track in an anti-clockwise direction, cycling on the inside of the track, overtaking to the left.

Runners and walkers use the track in a clockwise direction on the outside of the track, between the blue line and fence. No crossing of the track is permitted without the safety marshal's permission.

All cyclists (including small children) must wear a helmet and closed-toe shoes when using the track.

Anyone under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

DFI Presents ‘Abdullah’ in ongoing Hekayat Khaleejiya Series — Thursday and Friday

Head over to the Museum of Islamic Art this weekend to check out Doha Film Institute’s film series dedicated to the Gulf region.

Growing up in a very conservative family where many things are “haram” (forbidden in Islam), Abdullah struggles over the years to hide his love for music.

Hekayat Khaleejiya, which translates to ‘Stories from the Gulf’, is a quarterly screening series dedicated to showcasing cinematic voices from the Gulf region. The series presents films accompanied by question-and-answer sessions with the filmmakers to gain insight into their work and process.

Shop Qatar Festival — (all month)

Shop Qatar is the first edition of the month-long shopping festival. Under the slogan ‘A Brand New Tradition’, the first edition of Shop Qatar will kick-off in January with discounts on popular brands, cash prizes worth up to QAR 4 million, and a colourful schedule of entertainment featuring Cats the Broadway musical and 15 stand-up comedy acts.

Retail outlets around the country will be providing discounts of up to 50% on a range of consumer goods including clothes, electronics, cosmetics and accessories for men, women and children.



The festival ends on February 7, 2017. Be sure to catch it before it ends!
