Education City Career Fair 2017 — Monday and Tuesday

On behalf of the partner universities of Education City, and the organizing leadership from Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), are pleased to inform you that a joint career fair is being held in 2017. The Education City Career Fair 2017 is a great opportunity for students and alumni to meet local, regional and international employers.

The objective for organizing this joint initiative is to provide students at all levels of learning within Education City the opportunity to engage with representatives. This collaborative event also aims to inspire dialogue and community-building between industry and education.



ILQ will have a booth at the Career Fair this year! Please stop by and pay us a visit! We’ll be hosting a competition for students and alumni who stop by, and we’ll also have an array of yummy candy!

Doha Film Institute Presents German Film Week! — Sunday-Friday

In celebration of the Qatar Germany Year of Culture 2017, the Doha Film Institute (DFI), the Goethe-Institut Gulf Region, and Qatar Museums are proud to present German Film Week, a curated series of eight Classic and Contemporary German Films.

Film critic Claus Löser will be on hand to present the films in the program. In addition, Mr. Löser will lead a free masterclass on “German Film History”.

All screenings and events are free of charge, but a ticket is required for admission.

Special evening with Majed Al Muhandes! — Tuesday

Iraqi singer Majid Al Muhandes, winner of the prestigious Murex D’or award for Best Arab Singer, will perform as part of the Shop Qatar festival!

Shop Qatar organizers have announced that the Majid Al Muhandes concert that was due to take place on January 20 at the Qatar National Convention Center has been postponed until February 7, 2017.

Fans will be able to enjoy the Iraqi artist’s talent at the Shop Qatar closing ceremony, which is due to be held at the OASIS at Mall of Qatar on February 7, 2017 following the final raffle draw.

Ladies Training Days at Losail International Circuit — Tuesday

Starting from today, Losail International Circuit will be hosting Ladies Training Days.

Twice a month, the Losail track will be open only for ladies to be able to exercise in one of the largest venues in Doha with privacy as well as enjoy a variety of outdoor activities.

Bicycles and gear will be available so ladies won’t have to bring their personal cycles from home. There will be special trainers available to provide yoga lessons, a mini-bootcamp; walking, jogging and other activities, as well as a special allocated area for children.

*Please note only boys under 9 years of age will be allowed inside the track.*
