Ladies Training Days at Losail International Circuit — Tuesday

Starting from today, Losail International Circuit will be hosting Ladies Training Days.

Twice a month, the Losail track will be open only for ladies to be able to exercise in one of the largest venues in Doha with privacy as well as enjoy a variety of outdoor activities.

Bicycles and gear will be available so ladies won’t have to bring their personal cycles from home. There will be special trainers available to provide yoga lessons, a mini-bootcamp; walking, jogging and other activities, as well as a special allocated area for children.

*Please note only boys under 9 years of age will be allowed inside the track.*

Qumra film screening: Tramontane (Rabih) — Wednesday

The Qumra Film Festival kicks off this week with the screening of some fantastic films! The first one is happening this Wednesday with the premiere of Tramontane (Rabih)!

Synopsis: Young Rabih is well-liked by family, friends and the community of the Lebanese village he calls home. A blind, extremely talented singer and tablah player, he spends much of his time rehearsing with the musical group he plays in. When the band is invited to perform in Europe, Rabih, excited by the opportunity, heads to the magistrate’s office to obtain his passport – only to discover there are certain “irregularities” with his identity card. Denied international travel until he can prove to the authorities who he is, Rabih finds himself opening a closet full of family skeletons.

The film has a universal ring in its examination of the grief, guilt and shame that are the wages of lies and betrayal.

CHI Al Shaqab: Equestrian Competition — Thursday-Saturday

Giddy-up! The CHI (Concours Hippique International – International Equestrian Competition) is one of the world’s most prestigious equestrian competitions, the only of its kind in the whole of Asia, and in its scope and dimensions only comparable to three other events worldwide.

CHI Al Shaqab 2017 will not only draw the local and international horse world, it will also be a family event with activities for the general public. The spectator plaza will have vendors, food courts, cultural events, game zones and child-friendly areas. Be sure to check it out!

T3 Buggy Race with Red Bull — Friday

Go head-to-head with Red Bull Qatar’s first T3 Buggy Race! Titled Red Bull Qaher El T3ous, the exceptional, desert-racing event invites motorsport amateurs and Qatar’s dune racers to compete against each other, off the beaten track, on different tricky terrains.

The winner who will emerge as the local hero will take home an enviable T3 buggy as the grand prize, and 2nd and 3rd place will receive prizes as well, all provided by Speed Marine.


Supported and supervised by Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) Qaher El T3ous - which means the conqueror of the dunes, will offer a challenging yet safe platform, for the desert racing enthusiasts, while promising to offer competitors and spectators a fun-filled event.

The Qumra Film Festival kicks off this week with the screening of some fantastic films! The second one is happening this Friday with the premiere of the animated short Red (Hamar)!

Synopsis: A shy and lonely boy trudges through the snowy streets of a desolate, abandoned urban landscape, where he sees an abandoned pair of red trainers hanging from a telephone wire. He wants them dearly – but can he stamp out his fears and find a way to get them on his feet? The spectre of fear and doubt that lives inside us all, questioning our courage and making our confidence falter, gets a kick in the pants in this charming animated work.
