The Sharq Village & Spa is introducing water sports facilities and activities in the hotel! Guests seeking a relaxing sea experience may rent stand up boards, kayak and pedal boats from the beach available every day!

Water Safety Program at the Sharq Village & Spa

In partnership with Lifesaving Victoria and Lifesaving Association of Sri Lanka, Sharq Village and Spa will be hosting the Water Safety program for guests from August to December 2016. Children aged 4 and above with accompanying adults will learn water safety basics including these topics: be aware and be prepared, everyday lifesaver, survival strategies, rescue strategies and safe body-boarding.

Bazar and Back-to-School - Everyday

The Women’s Section of Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) has opened a charity event, ‘Bazar and Back-to-School’ at its headquarters in Al Duhail.

The event offers Eid dresses for children and adults, household items, and stationery donated by companies and philanthropists for the needy people. The event continues until September 1.

The event aims at providing goods at low prices to needy families for Eid al-Adha and for children who will be back to school when the new academic year starts next month.

The event aims at helping families buy school supplies for children before the schools open.

Time: 9:00 am - 9:00 pm everyday, 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm on Fridays.

‘Red / Red’ Art Installation - Everyday

Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art in Doha has dedicated part of its museum to a new display of work by Turkish artist Aslı Çavuşoğlu.

On show from 22nd May – 11th September 2016, the installation, entitled Red / Red, is on view in Mathaf’s Project Space, dedicated to emerging artists and curators’ experimentations with new ideas and forms of presentation.

This is the first presentation at Mathaf of Red / Red, following its production for the 14th Istanbul Biennial. The installation comprises six delicate drawings made on worn papers and 10 handmade notebooks made with two inks: Armenian red, extracted from the endangered Armenian cochineal insect, and Turkish red, now used in the national flag.

A number of educational events and initiatives will be taking place as part of this installation exhibitions.

Lava Nights at the InterContinental Doha - Everyday

Every evening hosts a different themed night at Lava in the InterContinental Doha. Splash and Dash - Sunday and Wednesday

Beginner or Pro, we have something for everyone. The popular swimming and running open sessions are back in the new season of Aspire Splash and Dash annual event. The sessions will kick off in August and will be held twice a week (every Sunday and Wednesday) during the evening hours.

Splash and Dash is open for all male and female participants at least 9 years old. Participants must know how to swim in order to register in the swimming sessions.

Registration: On-site registration (subject to availability) is open from August 3-31 from at Splash & Dash Registration Desk by the Dome main entrance reception.

Pokémon Go Qatar Hunting & Meet-Up - Friday

The Pokémon Go 2nd meet-up will takes place at newest Splash Water Park at Katara Beach #4 with plenty of water attractions and water games to add more flavor to the Pokémon Go meet-up Experience.

Since the meet-up will be on the beachside, Pokémon Go players can catch Pokémon in and on the water from the boats and slides.

Khalifa Al Haroon, or popularly known as Mr. Q of ILQ, will be giving away a limited edition Pokémon Gold card to the best player for our 2nd meet-up as well!

Price: QR60 for registration/entrance inclusive of games and unlimited rides.
