The Pirates Bay crew have escaped from the prison and have found a new place to hide -- the Mall of Qatar! Watch the mall transform into a pirate paradise, with lots of sun, treasures, and a place to relax. However, there's someone searching for them, an old pirate named Captain Smith, who works for the Queen. He's out to capture the Pirates Bay crew. This performance will held daily from January 7-20 at the Mall of Qatar central Oasis!

For all those hoping to get a new look for 2018, Doha Festival City has launched its first ever ‘Fashion and Beauty Park’ event as part of the Shop Qatar 2018 celebrations this month. They're transforming shipping containers into venues that will host a month of workshops and activities aimed to guide you through your fashion and beauty challenges.
Open Wednesday to Saturday each week, between January 10-27, shoppers will have access to free workshops, as well as fashion and beauty styling sessions at the ‘Color Closet’ and ‘Beauty Box’ zones, as well as a workshop and a meet-and-greet ‘living room’.
Fashion and Beauty Park
An interactive area where visitors can enjoy workshops bringing beauty and fashion together within three different themes. Each week, both men and women can learn something new based on the themes ‘Casual Chic’, ‘Work Closet’ and ‘Bridal and Evening Wear’. Image consultant Elisabete Reis, the fashion and style columnist, Elmira Kahrobaie will be available to show visitors how to enhance their best attributes with the right clothes, accessories, hair-cut, and make-up.
The Fashion Closet
Fashion experts on-site will guide you through the fashion colours that will best suit you, matching your skin tone, hair, and body shape. Clothes from all your favourite retailers will be displayed at the fashion closet organized by which colour will help you look your best this year.
The Beauty Box
Use your newly-acquired colour type to get more advice from the Beauty Box, where experts will provide guidance on make-up, beauty products, nail art, hair, and skin care.
Inside the Beauty Box you'll find an array of beauty brands arranged by colour category for you to easily choose what's best for you.
Make-up artist and designer Joyce Bonelli, who has worked with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, will also be visiting the mall on January 26 for a two-hour meet-and-greet session starting from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m.

The next screening in the Al Jazeera Documentary Art Film Series being shown at the Fire Station Cinema is Art in War. From the mud womb rises the flower, and from the womb of war emerges talent. In Gaza, bombs drop over human beings who turn their smoke into a painting that embodies their story. This documentary tells the story of Palestinian artists who witnessed the Israeli aggression on Gaza in 2014 and decided to turn the bombing wreckage and smoke scenes in to artworks that advocate the land-owner in the face of the occupier.

The Mahaseel Souq has opened in the southern area of Katara's Cultural Village, offering residents and visitors fresh local produce at this farmer's market. Shoppers will have the chance to buy various agricultural crops, flowers, ornamental plants, and livestock products every weekend (Thursday-Saturday).
Dozens of stalls will also offer natural honey produced by Qatari farms and the best varieties of local dates. The market includes the participation of 22 Qatari farms and six major national companies specialized in producing and selling sheep meat, poultry, eggs, dairy products, and natural juices.
The reopening of Mahaseel Souq "comes in the framework of Katara's efforts to support the agriculture and livestock sector, and encourage Qatari farm owners to promote their products, which are of high quality". Mahaseel serves as a good marketing platform for local farms, which offer reasonable prices for their produce.

A new, eight-week wellness camp, Let’s Kick It starts on 13 January, 2018 running until 3 March 2018 at the Museum of Islamic Art! A collaborative initiative spear-headed Doha-based fitness and wellness company Evolve, nutrition centre Diet Delights, and Qatar Museums’ Education Program.
Aimed at addressing key social objectives in the realm of health and wellness for children, Let’s Kick It is a first-of-its-kind initiative to be rolled out in Qatar. During the program, participants will learn more about the importance and role of holistic health while gaining insights on how they can improve their overall well-being.
