German Encounters: Contemporary Masterpieces from the Deutsche Bank Collection — Tuesday, Dec. 19 - Saturday, Jan. 20

Are you a lover of art and museums? Then check out German Encounters! This exhibition showcases a selection of artworks from the Deutsche Bank Collection – one of the world's most important corporate collections of contemporary art. It includes more than 100 exemplary works on paper including photographs and paintings by 27 artists, which provides an informative overview of the development of German art. The exhibition is part of Qatar Germany 2017 Year of Culture.

Training at Losail International Circuit — Wednesday, Dec. 20

Come and enjoy the free cycling, running and walking facilities at Losail International Circuit every Wednesday!

Car Park Area: Inside the Circuit next to the Paddock Restaurant Parking Registration: Inside the Circuit in the Pit Garage 2

Rules:

Cyclists must use the track in an anti-clockwise direction, cycling on the inside of the track, overtaking to the left.

Runners and walkers can use the track in a clockwise direction on the outer track, between the blue line and fence. Crossing of the track is not permitted without the safety marshal's permission.

All cyclists (including small children) must wear a helmet and closed-toe shoes when using the track. A small rental fee will be charged for bicycles: QR 35 for 1st hour, QR 40 for 2nd hour.

Anyone under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Driven by German Design — Tuesday, Dec. 19 - Sunday, Jan. 14

The Qatar Germany 2017 Year of Culture is organized by Qatar Museums, the German Embassy in Doha, and the Goethe-Institut Gulf Region. Driven by German Design is currently ongoing at the Al Riwaq Gallery – a vast exhibition space in the heart of Qatar’s museum district. It’s a must-see exhibition!

Art 29 presents Exploring Expression | Fahad Al Obaidly — Tuesday, Dec. 19 - Tuesday, Jan. 16

The art scene in Qatar is thriving! Fahad Al Obaidly recently opened a new exhibition at the W Doha Hotel! Searching for an escape from the artificial and conventional, Fahad uses color and exaggerated figures to express the perception of his reality. Fahad's artwork moved him away from his constraints to a world free from boundaries and full of infinite belonging.
