The Youth Company (TYC) has launched its first Ramadan campaign to engage the youth to develop a healthy mindset and to keep them occupied in a recreational way. “Awareness of cultural diversity among youth is a very important factor that we strive to promote among our members. As part of our YOU in Action Programme (volunteering programme), we have decided to not only provide the members with a voluntary experience, but also help them understand the culture much better. This will ensure the development of their mindset as future leaders,” said Abdulrahman Sajid, youth empowerment and success services director at TYC International. The Youth Company has organised different activities – such as Garangao, Iftar and a movie night with the elderly – for the youth to volunteer in so as to reach out to those who are unable to enjoy the festivities. Also, the TYC has organised a potluck Iftar for members participating in the Ramadan activities as part of its rewarding programme. TYC is organising a Ramadan photography competition for its members under the theme of “Youth and Ramadan”. The winner will be chosen through a voting session on the social media site, Facebook, and awarded with a prize worth QR1,500. Source:Qatar Chronicle
