It all started over a cup of tea. I fell in love with Karak and the simplicity Qatar offered. One would think of all the options that I have here, why would my heart settle of a cup of Karak? Well, anything that reminds you of Lahore is welcome in my life. I find myself the ideal spots in the city and give myself a treat almost every other day. Here’s a list of places where my heart tends to beat twice as fast because, well, it’s worth the view

MIA Park Café – A little well known café which gives you the ideal look of the skyline, the MIA park café has become my favorite hangout. Where people come to walk, enjoy and even have a picnic, I just order myself some good karak and make myself comfortable on the front seats of the café. A cool breeze, the lights shining from the skyline and some good memories – that’s the best of it all.

End of Corniche next to Sheraton – I have seen a lot of people making use of the corniche in various ways. Where mine is not completely concerned with a healthy lifestyle, I find myself on the bench of this side of Corniche with my favorite drink in hand, enjoying the quite mesmerizing sounds of the sea.

Bandar – Also nicknamed “Karak’s Port” Bandar has got to be the most chilled out spot where one can enjoy a good cup of karak. You can sit in your car or sit on the side of the rocks and have a simple night out with what the city has the best to offer: a good time. Just take a right turn on the Banana resort turning on the Corniche and head straight. You’ll definitely find yourself a spot.

A Boat Trip – No, not the dhow cruise. Have you ever noticed the boats at Corniche with the cutest fairy lights? Well, get on one and if you’re lucky, you might even be allowed to attach your phone to the speakers, have your own music as you take a 10-15 minutes ride to the skyline and back; enough time to have a hot cuppa karak!
