Qatar District Cooling Company (Qatar Cool) yesterday welcomed Ahmed Hassan Bilal, one of the major property developers in Qatar and the owner of the first villa served by the district cooling service in The Pearl-Qatar. Bilal’s villa is located in La Plage Villas West development, which is the first villa development to receive chilled water service in Qatar. “I am privileged to have the distinction of being the first to complete my personal villa project and to be moving in very shortly. Since we are in the middle of the hot summer months, it is obviously necessary that the villa has an efficient cooling system, which has been made possible by Qatar Cool with their cost-effective and energy-efficient district cooling system,” said Bilal, who expressed satisfaction with the customer service and personal attention given by Qatar Cool. Bilal said he was excited and looking forward to occupying his new villa where district cooling replaces noisy conventional air-conditioning systems. He appreciated the fact that he had been able to have an extra terrace made available by the absence of the conventional air-conditioning systems, which is effectively an upgrade. After the success of Qatar Cool in the West Bay area, the company is extending its service to residents of The Pearl-Qatar, providing them with environmentally-sound and reliable cooling services. Fayad Al Khatib, General Manager of Qatar Cool, presented a memento to Bilal as a gesture to acknowledge the company’s commitment to its clients to provide them with excellent service. “It is a great pleasure to welcome Mr Bilal in his new home knowing that we contribute to the overall living experience offered by The Pearl-Qatar island,” said Al Khatib. Qatar Cool took on the challenge of building the largest district cooling plant in the world to serve the massive development of The Pearl-Qatar. The district cooling plant will not only deliver chilled water to commercial outlets, residential apartments, hospitality and other facilities, but also to individual stand-alone villas. http://thepeninsulaqatar.com/Display_news.asp?section=Local_News&subsection=Qatar+News&month=June2009&file=Local_News200906282131.xml
