The Ministry of Culture and Sports announced the postponement of Doha International Book Fair in its next edition, which will be held during the period from January 7 to 16, until further notice.
The Ministry of Culture and Sports said in a statement yesterday, that the decision to postpone came after coordination with the Ministry of Public Health and the competent authorities in view of the current conditions that the whole world is witnessing in light of the continuing Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic.

The Doha International Book Fair, in its last edition, was launched on January 9 and was supervised by Qatar Cultural and Heritage Events Center, affiliated to the Ministry of Culture and Sports, and 335 publishing houses representing 31 Arab and foreign countries participated in it, in addition to many public and private institutions, which are all keen to promote culture in society.
