The Embassy of Japan in the State of Qatar, in collaboration with the Japan Foundation, has presented a variety of 62 Japan-related books to Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar (VCUQ) on 28th of April at VCUQ in order to promote further understanding of Japan and its culture.
These donated books include Japanese architecture, traditional garden design, fashion, pop-culture, and language textbooks.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Akel Kahera, Dean of VCUQ, Mr. Shingo Tsuda, Ambassador of Japan to Qatar, Ms. Amy Andres, Interim Director of the Library of VCUQ, Ms. Dina Bangdel, Director of Art History, Ms. Meike Kaan, Executive Director for Communications and External Affairs.
