All Gold Projects.jpg The mastership of La Cigale Hotel chefs For the third consecutive year, La Cigale Hotel renowned chefs sparkle on the ground of Diyafa Event- “Salon Culinaire” competition during a three day event (22-23-24 November 2011)! The contest included several participants from the hospitality industry where 11 Chefs from La Cigale Hotel -Kitchen and Pastry departments- competed in 10 different categories and the result is 3 exclusive awards, 6 Gold Medals, 6 Silver Medals and 3 Bronze Medals. On the first day, gold and bronze medals were seized in the Vegetable&Fruit Carving competition. Also a silver medal was conferred to the Signature Dish and a bronze one to the bread test. The second day was marked by the 2 chocolate showpieces that deserved the only 2 gold medals. The 2 wedding cakes among with the Master Showpiece were worth silver medals while the Fresh Four competition grabbed a bronze. The mastery of the third day achieved 3 gold medals and 2 silver medals in 3 categories. The shining 4-course set menu deserved easily the gold medal just as the Novelty Cake. Ice carving masterpieces brought gold and 2 silver laurels. At the end of Diyafa event, La Cigale Hotel got 3 distinctive awards: Best Pastry Team, Best 4 Course Set Menu and Best Ice Carver. The success of the participants comes with the support of La Cigale Hotel executive chefs known for their high standard of professionalism. It is deliberated that Diyafa is the monument event for key hospitality players in Qatar where great hospitality innovators compete but only best ones clinch awards! “The Hotel is proud of the outstanding capacity of the participants whom were all awarded.
