H.H. the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani performed Eid Al-Adha prayer at Al Wajba prayer hall today, 9 July 2022, at 5:05 am.
He was joined by Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa Al-Thani. Also present were Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, among other sheikhs, ambassadors, ministers, members of the Shura Council, and citizens of Qatar.
Leading the prayer and delivering the Eid sermon was Sheikh Dr. Thaqeel Sayer Al Shammari, who is a judge of the Court of Cassation and Supreme Judiciary Council member. During the sermon he explained that Eid is an expression and demonstration of the nation's unity, where the act of giving, showing piety and loyalty is observed and celebrated. He stressed the importance of the virtue of sacrifice and the unity of Muslims during this holy holiday.
