To enable micro tunneling works for the rearrangement of the sewerage network, the Public Works Authority announced that access to the slip road leading to Sharq Street, off the Ras Abu Abboud Street will be temporarily closed in the vicinity of Al Khulaifat Park.
The closure will be in place for four months starting Thursday 11 June 2015, while the other direction of the road heading to Ras Abu Abboud Street will remain open to traffic.
A small section of Sharq Street will also be closed, however this will not affect traffic flow.
Vehicles will be able to access Sharq Street by taking the exit from Ras Abu Abboud Street onto Corniche Street, turning right to Sharq Street. Vehicles exiting Sharq Village and Spa can join the traffic by exiting either left and onto Sharq Street or right onto Ras Abu Abboud Street (as shown in the attached map).
Ashghal urges all commuters to abide by the speed limits to help ensure their safety and to follow the new instructions displayed in the area to guide them.
