As per QMD, scattered rain is expected to continue until 18 January 2022, and it may turn into thundery at times in some areas. Fresh to strong Northwesterly winds will start from 18 January morning until the end of this week over most areas, which leads to blowing dust and low horizontal visibility, the sea wave offshore will rise to more than 10 ft.
The Northwesterly wind is accompanied by a noticeable decrease in temperatures as it reaches less than 8°C in the southern and external areas while the apparent temperatures will be less than that. This cold spell expected to be the coldest so far this season. Qatar Meteorology Department urges all to be careful and to avoid marine activities.
