Temperature across the country is expected to shoot up further today even as there are warnings of stronger dusty winds of upto 35 knots.
The expected maximum temperature is 45C, but Ruwais, Dukhan and Abu Samra and Dukhan will be a little cooler. As it was yesterday, Doha, Al Khor, Wakrah and Mesaieed would experience hotter climatic conditions.
Abu Samra and Dukhan will experience temperatures ranging between 36 and 38C.
The Met department has forecast that North-westerly winds of severe intensity that could lash the country throughout the day but they may subside by late in the evening. Offshore areas would also experience strong winds.
The dusty winds could reduce visibility to two kilometres or even less during the day even though the normal range would be between four and seven km.
Water levels on the offshore areas which may rise to 10ft in the morning, could fall to three to five feet late in the evening.
