Just when you thought winter had passed us by this year, we bring to you news that the overall temperature in Qatar is set to drop by a few degrees with the minimum temperature going down to 15 degrees Celsius this coming weekend with partly cloudy to cloudy skies.

Not so bad, you think.

Well, combine that with the wind chill factor that will arrive with winds of up to 37 kilometres per hour coming from the north west, and believe, me you are going to feel the cold for sure, especially between Thursday and Saturday! The early mornings and the evenings will be coldest. In some areas of the Qatar, temperatures may even fall to below 10 degrees.

It’s best to stay away from coastal areas this weekend as waves will be high and may even go up to 13 feet high because of the winds. So, please stay safe!

According to the Qatar Meteorology Department, January which is the second winter month in Qatar is usually the coldest. Looks like that’s the way it’s going to be this year as well!
