Qatar Weather announced in a tweet on 17 February 2023 that a significant temperature drop is expected from Friday evening. The temperature drop is expected to continue until the middle of the following week.
A noticeable drop in temperatures from this evening due to the continuation of the Northwest winds over the country. The cold weather will continue until the middle of next week#Qatar

The cold weather is caused by the continuous Northwest winds over Qatar. The winds are continuing with gusts over 30 KT.
Qatar Weather also warned of low visibility in some areas going below 3 KM.
