Philippines got the bronze medal in the recently concluded Emirs Volleyball Cup 2016 (Inter Communities Volleyball Challenge) last May 13, 2016 against the team from Nepal with a 30-28, 23-25 and 15-8 record. Large contributions by Marck Espejo, Barney Wilson "Ysay" Marasigan, Esmilso "Ish" Joner Polvoroza and Coach Oliver Almadro to win the fight. Acknowledged by Espejo, Marasigan, Polvoroza and the entire team of their support here in Qatar.
According to coach Oliver not easy getting the third place and prepare for the next EMIR's Cup to reach the Finals in the Philippines. Also thanked her the organizers of the emirs Cup 2016, sponsors, Ateneo de Manila University to let them play and dalhil the name of the Philippines, the BalitangQ to continue supporting the activities of the Filipino community and above all the tireless support of the Filipino Community here in Qatar.
