Set in a luxurious ballroom with omnipotent chandeliers and a blossoming atmosphere at the Shangri-La Hotel Doha, the sponsors and organizers of iWed 2017, the most extravagant bridal exhibition in the GCC, shared some of the much anticipated highlights of the upcoming event.
“We appreciate the importance of weddings, and how they create memories,” said Martin Kendall, General Manager of City Center Rotana. Here, the sponsors of iWed 2017 take pride at being partners in Qatar’s major wedding event and exhibition.
Consumers of the growing wedding business will find wedding products and services at more than 120 stands, such as wedding planners, fashion, jewelry and flower designers, hair and beauty products and stylists, gift suppliers, catering companies, as well as honeymoon organizers and hotel groups.
During the five-day exhibition, guests who are planning to get married this year, and visitors who want to check out the locale, will be entertained by traditional wedding activities, cake displays, hair and make up tutorials, and stunning fashion shows. “We will be organizing 20 fashion shows during the exhibition, that means four shows a day, which is a mission for us,” said Hadi Ali, CEO of Qatar Expo.
“We have a great number of designers this year, for now we have around 20 confirmed. They are from different locations like Turkey, Morocco, Lebanon and the UK, along with [the] local market. During the exhibition, they will be open to talk to people and discuss dresses and design,” Ali added.
Beauty sponsor Make Up District and their artists will be doing the hair and makeup at the fashion shows, introducing the latest fashion trends in the bridal hair and makeup field.

The 10th International Wedding Exhibition & Fashion Show Doha -IWED- 2017 will take place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, April 25th to 29th, from 12:00 pm until 10:00 pm* with free entrance, and is expected to attract thousands of visitors.
