THE Sharq Village and Spa is hosting the Japanese master chef Hoshina Masanobu until October 26. Guests to the hotel’s Al Dana restaurant can enjoy sushi and sashimi prepared by the veteran chef, who will oversee the counter during dinner services from 7pm. Originally from Osaka, Masanobu will also prepare an extensive selection of his signature dishes during the weekend brunch at Sharq Village’s Al Liwan restaurant from 12.30pm to 3.30pm. Items on his special menu include ika (cuttlefish), maguro (a type of tuna) and ebi (cooked prawn). Chef Masanobu has displayed his culinary skills across Europe, Asia and the US. \ He is currently the resident Japanese chef at The Portman Ritz-Carlton in Shanghai, China. GT
