Fosa-Qatar, an association of former students of Farook College in India’s Kerala state, is conducting a survey on the quality of education in Indian schools in Qatar. The survey is open to the members of the Indian community, a press release said yesterday. Fosa is conducting the survey as part of an education seminar it has organised on October 30 at the Qatar Charity Auditorium near the Mall Roundabout. The seminar will be on the theme, ‘The Burden of Education on Parents and Students in the Middle East’, and among the speakers will be the representatives of all the leading Indian schools in Qatar, and also representatives of teachers, parents and students. M I Shanavas, a Member of Indian Parliament from Kerala, who is a former student of Farook College, will inaugurate the seminar, the press release added. Indian parents who wish to participate in the education survey can do so by visiting http://www.fosa-qatar.com/SurveyMaster.aspx. The education seminar is being conducted as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations of Fosa-Qatar. Fosa is also bringing out a souvenir to raise funds for its humanitarian activities. http://www.thepeninsulaqatar.com/Display_news.asp?section=Local_News&subsection=Qatar+News&month=October2009&file=Local_News200910277654.xml
