Sumo Power GT- one of the world's top GT1 racing teams- tackled Doha's famous Losail International Racing Circuit on Wed, April 27th.
Nissan racing drivers Michael Krumm, Lucas Luhr, Peter Dumbreck and Jamie Campbell-Walter took the cars through their paces with VIPs and members of the media at the exclusive one -day high profile event, the first of its kind in Qatar.
Nissan's VIPs and media were invited to the long awaited unveiling of the 2012VVIP Nissan GT-R, and watch as the Sumo Power GT team put the pedal to the metal, before inviting guests to do the same.
Sumo Power GT and its sister Nissan team JRM Racing, competes in the high-profile FIA GT1 World Championship against iconic names such as Aston Martin and Lamborghini.
This is the pinnacle of the sports car racing with 10 teams, 20 cars and 40 of the world's leading drivers.
The Nissan GT-R race car, which was displayed here in Doha today by the Sumo Power GT team, is one of the only five in the world like it. Built to comply with GT1 regulations, and technical support provided by NISMO ( Nissan Motorsports International.Co. Ltd.), the Sumo Power GT cars have proven to be a force to be reckoned with.
This Losail event is an opportunity for S.H.Almano Co., Nissan's exclusive and valued partner here in Qatar, to showcase this much anticipated luxury specification 2012 VVIP edition in Doha.
