Students of Park House English School Raise QR 10,710 for QAWS
In an effort to help Qatar Animal Welfare Society (QAWS) and the 500 plus abandoned animals in their shelter, students of Park House English School students held a bake sale to raise money for the center. All students of the school were involved in the process and successfully raised QR 5,355. In recognition of their hard work and to further support the cause, the school donated the same value raised by the students, totalling QR 10,710 in donations to the center. The funds raised will be used by QAWS to help purchase food, supplies and equipment while the animal shelter searches for a new home. QAWS recently lost the rights to the land their facility is currently located on and are desperately looking for a new location. To contribute or help please, contact them via their Facebook Page or contact details on their website. Park House is a keen supporter of animal rescue and readers might be interested to know that there is a petition to help save QAWS available at - http://www.thepetitionsite.com/606/775/829/please-help-find-qatar-animal-welfare-society-a-new-home/ PARK HOUSE ENGLISH SCHOOL Founded in 1994, Park House English School is the oldest non-embassy British school in Doha.
