StrongWind

Fresh northwesterly winds will continue in Qatar today, with the winds becoming strong at some places both inshore and offshore by afternoon.
There is also a possibility of isolated rain over the weekend in some areas, the Met Office has said. The winds are expected to cause blowing dust, as it was yesterday, which may cause visibility to decrease to less than 2km in some areas. The peak temperature of 43C is forecast today in Doha and Al Khor, followed by 42C in Mesaieed and Wakrah, 41C at Abu Samra, 40C at Dukhan and 38C at Ruwais. The minimum temperature will range between 30 and 35C.
Numerical weather prediction charts show that wind direction will change tomorrow to easterly. Fresh to strong winds ranging between 12–20 knots inshore, reaching 25 knots at times and from 18–25 knot offshore, reaching 30 knots at times are also forecast. Therefore, moderate to rough seas are expected with wave height ranging between five and eight feet, and it may reach 9ft at times.
Easterly winds will also cause an increase in relative humidity that coincides with an upper level instability with a chance for cloud development on Friday and Saturday. This may lead to isolated rain over some areas.
In addition, temperatures are expected to decrease where maximum temperature will range between 36 and 39C in Doha whereas minimum temperatures will range between 31 and 34C.
