Strong Northwesterly winds are expected to continue until the end of next week with blowing dust and dusty weather at times, according to the Qatar Meteorology Department.

"Weather maps indicate that fresh to strong Northwesterly wind is expected to continue affecting the country until the end of next week Saturday 19 June 2021 where the wind speed expected to range between 17-27 KT gusting to 40 KT at places at times especially during this weekend causing blowing dust and low visibility to less than 2 KM especially in open areas during daytime and wind speed expected to decrease gradually by evening. The country is expected to be affected by dust mass between Friday dawn 11 June 2021 and Saturday 12 June 2021. Marine warning of strong wind and high sea expected to continue until Saturday 12-6-2021 where the wave height will range between 4-9 FT exceeding 12 FT sometimes.
