The Doha Municipality has appointed experienced veterinary doctors to examine camels and cows before and after their slaughter, local Arabic daily Arrayah has reported. Technical measures are then taken to ensure that the meat is healthy, safe and fit for human consumption, the report states. The doctors will examine the camels and cows before their slaughter to ensure that the animals are free of diseases. They will also check the slaughtered animals and their organs to confirm that they are safe for human consumption, according to the report. Only after confirmation of the absence of diseases, meat will be delivered to consumers.
