The UK-based performing arts group, STOMP, concludes its three-day visit of Qatar today with a final performance at Qatar National Convention Centre Theatre. The first show was held on Thursday. The orchestrated dance-and-rhythm sensation enthralled the audience using the sounds of their stomping feet, wood, metal bin tops and water. “It’s not just the choreography that sets us apart, but also the humour we use in our performances that connects the world’s audiences to us,” according to Glynis Hall, general manager and producer of the group. STOMP has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 1991 with British street performers Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas. It has performed on demand in over 50 countries across the globe, with shows in New York and London being held for 18 and 11 years, respectively.
