Stenden University Qatar (SUQ) reached another important milestone as The International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education (THE-ICE) granted full accreditation to two of its Bachelor’s Degree programmes, namely – the Bachelor of Business Administration in Tourism Management, and the Bachelor of Business Administration in International Hospitality Management. As a result SUQ’s Tourism Management programme becomes the only Tourism Management programme officially accredited by THE-ICE in the Middle East.

THE-ICE is a global quality assurance agency and a worldwide network of leading quality tourism, hospitality, events and culinary arts institutions. During the accreditation process SUQ’s curriculum, teaching and learning resources, staffing and facilities have been carefully reviewed and compared to the international standards of excellence. The audit was performed by highly-qualified and experienced international experts in the area of hospitality and tourism management.

Receiving the accreditation by THE-ICE is a validation of the high quality of education offered at Stenden University Qatar. Dr. Ivan Ninov, Executive Dean of SUQ, stated, “We are very happy with this result and the fact that we have been successfully benchmarked against some of the leading educational institutions, providing hospitality and tourism management education. This accreditation is a very important milestone in the development of Stenden University Qatar and an important step towards achieving our vision as a university”.
