Snoonu users received SMS blast promoting a different delivery app

UPDATE: 4 June 2022

Snoonu owner, Hamad Al-Hajri tweeted an update on the morning of 3 June 2022. In a thread, he explained how the situation happened and also mentioned that they have the name and address of the person responsible for the issue. He added that the subject is currently in the hands of the Cybercrime Police.

A number of Snoonu users have posted on social media their concern over the SMS blast that they received from the Snoonu number as it sends the following message: "Rafeeq missed you! Please order from Rafeeq instead of Snoonu."

Users received these text messages from Snoonu at around 5:45 pm.

Users have used their platform to express their shock and disbelief in what has happened.

As per the owner of Snoonu, the issue has already come to their attention and they have already taken the necessary actions for the sudden SMS blast. The company has already reported the issue to the Cybercrime Police.

As of writing, Rafeeq has not made any statement.
