SMILE, the new retail brand recently launched by Grand Mart Group, gifted Qatar with yet another Guinness World Record with the World’s Largest Human Smiley on 27^th March 2015. The upcoming Smile Hypermarket achieved this record with 4047 Participants, which constituted Grand Mart employees, partners, clients and Industrial workforce. The evening was then followed by a Gala Night with a mesmerizing performance by Neeti Mohan (a renowned Bollywood Singer) for the first time in Doha & an International LED Dance Group.

The event witnessed over 10,000 interested participants for the Human Smiley & was graced with the presence of Sheikh Jassim Thamer Issa Al Thani (Chairman of the Group) & Sheikh Fahad Al Othaishan from KSA. Ms. Seyda Subasi-Gemici, official Guinness Adjudicator from Turkey, verified the count as per Guinness guidelines and announced the results in the opening of the Gala Night. She presented the certificate to Mr. Ismail Chakkarath, Managing Director of the Group, and was accompanied by the Board of Directors and SMILE core team. Mr. Ashraf Chakarath, Vice-Chairman of the Group, expressed his happiness on breaking this record and dedicated this SMILE to Qatar & its people.

Mr. Vivek Verma, General Manager of the Group, thanked all the esteemed VVIPs, Guests & Participants for their support in creating a history for Qatar. He assured that this is just a beginning and SMILE is all set for bigger surprises going forward.
