PTV-Mobility-Day

The future of transportation in Doha and across Qatar was discussed at an event in the city on Thursday – with the latest updates on the 2022 FIFA World Cup being made public. The event called "PTV Mobility Day" was organised by the PTV group that brought together transport industry leaders to discuss solutions for Qatar’s transport infrastructure, including transportation systems that will be put in place for the prestigious tournament in 2022.

Over 1.8 million people travelled to the Host City Moscow in 2018 and major preparations are underway in Doha as the city prepares to welcome hundreds of thousands of international visitors who will be traveling from overseas. The event highlighted how Doha will be preparing to host one of the biggest sporting events on the planet and what steps are being taken in the run-up.

The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) is aiming to sell three million tickets to achieve its target of having full stadiums for every match during the world’s biggest sporting event, which expects to receive more than 1.5 million football fans from across the world.
