Hey Exhibition was formally inaugurated today at the Doha Exhibition Center (DEC) in the presence of dignitaries, the media, and the general public. The exhibition will be open to the public until 22 November.

The opening ceremony was attended by Dana Ali Alfardan, Najla Al Shafei, Haya Al Naiemi and other dignitaries. Once the ribbon was cut, the dignitaries received a tour of the event.

The exhibition is open to visitors over 12 years old, and between the hours of 10am and 10 pm. Over 50% of the exhibitors are Qatari designers while the rest come from other GCC countries. QTA expects that more than 70,000 people will visit the exhibition this year. Approximately 65,000 people visited the fifth edition of the exhibition last year.

"Events such as the Heya Women Fashion Exhibition create an opportunity to grow our experience in exhibition management, which we hope will allow us to attract new audiences and to better promote exhibitions. It is for these reasons that QTA values such events, as they help in diversifying the MICE industry in Qatar.", said Hamad Al Abdan, Director of Exhibition, Qatar Tourism Authority.

"Heya is a unique exhibition in the region where the finest designs of Khaliji women’s clothing and the latest fashion trends in Qatar and the Gulf are displayed. We hope it will assist QTA in its efforts to further develop the tourism sector in the country." added, Al Abdan.

Established on an area of 5,000 square meters and featuring 220 pavilions from Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, the exhibition is part of QTA's efforts to support tourism and build a sustainable tourism sector in Qatar.
