The Embassy of the Republic of Singapore has launched its new website featuring an electronic consulate (e-consulate) information system. The website www.mfa.gov.sg/doha provides comprehensive and up-to-date information on consular and visa services to both Singaporeans as well as members of the public residing in Doha. The website provides information on the following: Embassy's contact details; location map; notarial and consular services; visa services for visitors to Singapore; links to other useful websites for overseas Singaporeans; links to informative websites for potential visitors to Singapore. "After first establishing our physical presence in Doha in December 2006, the Singapore Embassy now has a 'virtual presence' on the world-wide web," said Kevin Liew, Head of Chancery/First Secretary at the embassy. "Our new website contains useful information which is easily accessible to all. We will be adding other features and changes over the next few months to further enhance the usefulness of the website. We welcome feedback from members of the public on how to improve it. This year's Singapore National Day celebrations, jointly organised by the Embassy and the Red Dotters Club (RDQ), will be held at 7pm at Movenpick Towers & Suites Hotel on August 9.
