Tonight is 'Earth Hour', and millions of people around the world will switch off the lights in support of nature and our plane at 8:30 pm for an hour.
Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums (QM) urges the public in the country to switch off their lights. In a tweet, she says:
Join us tomorrow from 8.30pm to 9.30pm to celebrate the #EarthHour and the hope of building a better future for the earth by being responsible citizens, turn off the lights and light the candles instead as a message from Qatar to the world to protect our planet.
