Sharq Village and Spa is offering special getaway packages during the summer to help its guests escape from the bustle of everyday life and retreat into the lush oasis of the luxury beachfront five-star hotel. An overnight stay anytime from June 1 to August 20, 2009 will allow guests the opportunity to experience the Arabic hospitality of the resort as well as the recreational facilities such as Six Senses Spa. The General Manager, Hoss Vetry, said, “This is the ideal opportunity to take delight with a languid dip in the chilled pools, sip on an iced beverage on a sun lounger or simply to dine on fresh bounties from the sea at Al Dana.” Guests who take advantage of this summer promotion may enjoy a complimentary breakfast for one, 25 percent off all food and beverage meals in the hotel, and delightful summer in-room amenities. In addition, Sharq Village and Spa is introducing offers of up to 25 percent savings with the newly launched “Sharq Riyals.” From May 15 to December 30, 2009, guests may embark on culinary journeys at the hotel’s signature beachfront seafood restaurant Al Dana, the all-day dining café Al Liwan, the Cigar Lounge, or sample hearty barbeque fare at Al Seef. Diners may then receive a special rebate on their bill which may be used on their next visit. Speaking to The Peninsula, Emena Tena, public relations coordinator of Sharq Village, said: “We have created Sharq Riyals to attract our guests so they can enjoy the luxuries of our hospitality. It’s a way of adding value for our esteemed customers”. The highest denomination of the Sharq Riyals is 100. To help guests stay connected with friends, family and their favourite online portals, the resort is now offering free wireless Internet access at the Lobby Lounge, Al Jalsa and the Cigar Lounge. The Sharq Village and Spa is located a five-minute drive away from Doha International Airport. http://thepeninsulaqatar.com/Display_news.asp?section=Local_News&subsection=Qatar+News&month=May2009&file=Local_News2009051033216.xml
