Seven Asians working in a car wash facility of a service station have been arrested on charges of filling in cheap automobile lubricants in emptied cans of some world-renowned brands and selling them. They have been booked for carrying out commercial fraud. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ministry of Interior said that acting on a tip-off its sleuths caught these people red-handed. The CID said in a statement yesterday that coordination with the Consumer Protection Department of the Ministry of Business and Trade was sought to swoop on these alleged fraudsters. The CID has seized stocks of the lubricants which were in their possession and said they are being referred for legal action. The culprits have confessed to the crime, the CID statement said. http://thepeninsulaqatar.com/Display_news.asp?section=Local_News&subsection=Qatar+News&month=June2009&file=Local_News200906086929.xml I changed the original title from Seven Asians arrested for fleecing customers to Seven people arrested for fleecing customers. I felt it was a bit racist as their race was not important.
