Services Centers and Security Departments to Receive Absconding Complaints

Doha: As part of the Ministry's plan to widen and ease its services, all Unified Services Centers, Border posts and geographical security departments (except Capital & Al-Rayyan Security Departments) will receive absconding complaints on expatriate workers on personal sponsorship effect from Sunday, 26/6/2011. Until now, it was allowed to submit absconding complaints only in Search and Follow up Department (SFD). Under the new facility, those who would like to clear their responsibility towards absconding employees can avail this service from all Unified Services Centers in different area o f the country such as Mesaimeer, Al-Khor, Al-Shahaniya, Al-Wakrah, Industrial Area, ..etc. in addition to South Security Department, North Security Department and Dukhan Security Department. The Director of the SFD Colonel Nasser Mohammed al-Sayed clarified that the absconding complaints on employees in personal or company sponsorship will be received in the Search and Follow up Department and all Unified Services Centers during morning and evening working hours, while the security departments-except Captial and Al-Rayyan Departments- will receive only complaints from personal sponsors and it will work round the clock. He further added that the Sponsors shall prove the identity of the employees in case they don’t have employees' passports with them. He also pointed out that these new developments are part of the Department's efforts to improve its services quality in all spheres as the SFD has applied and implemented recently international standards in detention wards and in dealing with detainees.
