The Ministry of Municipality announced on Monday, 21 March 2022, that the Al-Rayyan Municipality has seized an unrefrigerated vehicle that was transporting meat from unlicensed premises for slaughtering animals. The regulatory act was done in order to protect the consumer and preserve food security.
Such action comes as part of the Municipality's preparations for the holy month of Ramadan, including the continuous inspection work, examination of carcasses, and ensuring the readiness of slaughterhouses to withstand work pressure during the days of the holy month.
