In a tweet, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) said that after the ministry received a report of a dead sea cow at Al Udeid Beach, a specialized unit from the Protection and Nature Reserves sector visited the site and took needed measurements and samples to determine the cause of death.

The assessment revealed that the sea cow was exposed to the propeller of a boat in the sea, which led to its death.
