The Qatar Meteorology Department has stated on its Twitter page that today, there will be hot weather with scattered clouds and it may become cloudy at times with chances of scattered rain that may be thundery in some areas of Qatar. Strong winds are also expected in the afternoon

Offshore will be hazy with scattered clouds to partly cloudy which may become cloudy with a chance of scattered rain that could be thundery at times, the report added, warning of expected thunder rain at places associated with strong wind and high sea by afternoon.

Wind inshore will be mainly southeasterly to northeasterly 08 to 18 knot reaches to 30 knots at places with thundery rain.

Offshore, it will be mainly southeasterly to northeasterly 05 to 15 knot gusting to 30 knots with thunder rain.

Visibility will be 4 to 8/3 kilometres or less with thundery rain.
