HEC Paris is offering a bespoke management training programme for the top 150 executives of King Faisal Hospital in Saudi Arabia. This programme, within the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2012 between the two organisations, demonstrates the commitment of the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) to invest in its employees and maintain levels of excellence across the board. The custom-designed programme, titled ‘Keep the Lead’, commenced in March and will conclude in May 2014. Over this period, 90 days of training will take place for three categories of participants: Executive directors, medical chairmen, and directors. The goal of the programme is to continue to promote the hospital’s culture of operational excellence, foster a sense of commitment, and achieve high performance. The overall purpose of the programme is to improve proficiency within each area of the KFSHRC Leadership Competency Model to develop leaders who can lead in a competitive and ever-changing environment; to release the best in themselves and others. As leaders within KFSHRC, the participants will understand the organisational strategy and be able to communicate it to their teams and lead the implementation of the hospital’s strategy. Key faculty members from HEC Paris, Professors Corey Phelps and Rick Gilkey, have been instrumental in the design of the programme, and their input will be felt in the programme’s delivery. HEC Paris in Qatar’s Chief Operating Officer, Joshua Kobb, commented: “King Faisal Hospital is highly prestigious, and clearly committed to developing leadership within the organisation. We are very much looking forward to the commencement of the program, and interacting with executives within the Hospital, helping them adapt to the many changes they now face.” He said this partnership also demonstrates the commitment of HEC Paris in Qatar to building talent not only in Qatar, but also throughout the region.
