Run The World Festival announces the winners of the photo and video competition

ANNOUNCING THE WINNERS OF PHOTO&VIDEO “RUN THE WORLD” COMPETITION Doha, QA- December 12, 2011 On Sunday 11th December 2011 Intercontinental Doha hosted the first edition of Photo&Video competition committed for young talented photographers and filmmakers to tell compelling stories of interpretation and vision concerning the theme “youth &sports”. Despite the prospect of Run The World team, a large number of visitors turn out to attend the opening event of the festival. Special guest of the celebration was Dr. Christian Wacker, Director of the Qatar Olympic & Sport Museum. To have an idea about what was happening and what Run The World festival has in store for you keep an eye on our website and social media, as we will be featuring many of these photos and videos over the next year! Running on different opinion the winners of each category have been selected by Run The World team and announced by the main guest of the evening Dr. Christian Wacker during the exhibition ceremony. The photo which garnered the strongest emotional response from Run The World and The Youth Company judges was “Each failure is a step to success” submitted by Dhia Nugroho, 16 years old, who awarded the prize of 2000 QR. For the video contest, the short film, which amazed the public, was “The Hand” submitted by Said Ousaber, 26 years old, who awarded 2000 QR as well. Ziga Anzlovar, event director stated, “We think the winning photos and videos we have chosen simultaneously speak about emotions, feelings, and hopes for the future.“ We congratulate all the winners of this competition and offer special thanks to all the participants. Run The World staff thanks all the visitors, especially Dr. Christian Wacker for attending the first day of the festival. The next appointment with Run The World is on 13th December 2011, at Katara Cultural Village (building 15) for the awaited Youth Conference.
