The Ministry of Interior (MOI) on 19 January 2023, has said that motorists are advised to pay attention to the closure of some roads - Corniche, Katara, The Pearl, Lusail and some adjacent lanes on Friday, 20 January 2023, from 3 am to 12 noon due to the Doha Marathon 2023 organized by the Qatar Athletics Federation.

MOI advises those who use these routes to use alternative roads during the closure period. Traffic patrols will be placed to regulate traffic movement surrounding the marathon tracks.
