The Qatar News Agency announced today official working hours for employees operating in the public sector this Ramadan. As reported by the Qatar Tribune, government agencies, public institutions, and ministries will operate for five hours a day starting from 9:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan. The announcement was made in a circular issued by H.E. the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud. 2017 marks the Hijri year 1438 in the Islamic calendar, and Ramadan is anticipated to begin on either May 26 or 27, 2017, depending on the cycle of the moon.
