Ramadan 2017 in Qatar started off on a high note. Although the diplomatic crisis occurred in the second week of Ramadan, business carried on as usual in Qatar. Even though people did worry about the sanctions and the possibility of a food shortage, Qatar ensured that everything was under control. Food supply was not effected as nations like Turkey and Iran stepped in to support Qatar. Events, activities, and festivities still continued, and Ramadan in Qatar brought people even closer together.
